Associations or illustrations for the psychotherapist Viesturs Rudzītis' book "The First Temple: The Symbolism of the Female Body"
In my husband's parents' living room, there is an old drawing on the wall created using the wash technique with ink. It depicts a woman in a dark room, illuminated by the light of a kerosene lamp. The drawing feels so mysterious and captivating that I decided to experiment with the ink wash technique myself, in order to evoke the sensation of the present darkness or the unconscious.

Sieviete tumšā istabā petrolejas lampas gaismā. Šis zīmējums šķiet tik noslēpumains un ievelkošs, ka nolēmu izmēģināt tušas mazgājuma tehniku, lai radītu sajūtu par klātesošo tumsu jeb bezapziņu.
